Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the San Jose Card Show ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit sanjosecardshow (the "Site") or interact with our contact and sponsor inquiry forms. This site is operated from California, USA.

Who this site is for

The Site is intended for adults age 18 and older who are interested in attending, exhibiting at, or sponsoring the San Jose Card Show. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our forms are designed for adult ticket-buyers, vendors, and sponsors only. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at sanjosecardshow@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

What we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily provide:

  • Contact form: name, email address, and the contents of your message.
  • Sponsor inquiry form: company name, contact name, email address, estimated budget range, and the details of your inquiry.
  • Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, request timestamps) retained for security and abuse prevention.

Ticket purchases are processed on Eventbrite. We do not receive or store payment card information. Eventbrite's collection and use of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit only to respond to your inquiry, fulfill vendor or sponsor requests, and improve the Site. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with our sponsors, vendors, or any other third party for their own marketing purposes. Information you submit is used solely by the San Jose Card Show team to reply to you.

Cookies and tracking

This Site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics or tracking scripts. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and present a cookie consent banner that lets you decline non-essential cookies before they are set.

Third-party links

The Site links to Eventbrite, Instagram, Google Maps, and other external services. Your interactions with those services are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

Data retention and security

Form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for reasonable business records, then deleted. We use industry-standard security measures to protect the information we hold, but no online transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you.
  • Request a copy of that information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Be free from discrimination or retaliation for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at sanjosecardshow@gmail.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may also authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

The San Jose Card Show does not sell your personal information and does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Because we do not engage in either activity, no opt-out is required. If our practices ever change, we will update this policy and provide a clearly labeled "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on the Site before any such activity begins.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
